The Norwegian Neck and Back Registry (NNRR) is a consent-based national medical quality registry that includes patients being assessed at interdisciplinary outpatient clinics in the specialist health services at physical medicine departments in hospitals (as of June 2025, all relevant departments are connected to NNRR). 

The registry contains information on both planned and acute surgical procedures on organs in the digestive system (gastrointestinal surgery).

The registry contains information on patients with a genetically determined disease in the muscles (myopathy) or in the peripheral nerves (neuropathy) – with the exception of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.

The Norwegian Registry for Spine Surgery (NORspine) aims at, and is contributing to the improvement of the quality of surgical treatment for degenerative disorders in the cervical and lumbar spine. Patients experience strong and clinically relevant improvements of pain, disability and health-related quality of life after surgery.

The registry registers results after surgical treatment of anal incontinence, preliminarily limited to sacral nerve modulation (SNM) and sphincteroplasty.

The registry contains information related to a group of rare diseases that are characterized by inflammation of the blood vessel wall (the term is called vasculitis).
