NorArthritis is a national quality registry established to increase knowledge on chronic inflammatory joint diseases in Norway. The registry collects data on patients with chronic inflammatory joint diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis. Data are collected electronically by the patients and the treating doctors and nurses, and include the following: patient and disease-characteristics, diagnosis, treatment, and outcome in terms of disease activity measures and scores for function and quality of life.
We seek to improve patient care by monitoring clinical factors, medical treatment and outcomes. Data from all relevant Norwegian institutions are evaluated and compared in order to identify significant differences to ensure equal and high quality care for all Norwegian patients. Through quality and research projects, the ultimate goal is to secure appropriate treatment for future patients.
