How to access personal identifiable health information?

Last modified: 6/28/2024

Personal identifiable information (PII) is any information connected to a specific individual that can be used to uncover that individual's identity, such as their social security number, full name, email address or phone number.

Before you apply to access health data, it is wise to be aware of the difference between personally identifiable and anonymous health information and what type of information you need to answer your research question.
